Linda Spurlock, PhD is the Director of Human Health at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Since 2007 the Museum has, as part of its mission, the fostering of human health. Linda is a biological anthropologist, educator and forensic facial reconstruction artist. She has been involved in important fossil ancestor reconstructions, most recently the 4.4 million year old partial skeletonArdipithecus ramidus.

The Cleveland Museum of Natural History hosts the Wellness@Work Awards,honoring companies in Northeastern Ohio with the best employee wellness programs. Programs are judged on a variety of criteria including physical activity, nutrition, drugs/alcohol programs, work/personal life balance, health insurance and leave, continuing education, work with the community, new life experiences, and sustainable practices in the workplace. The annual Wellness@Work Symposium is a venue for the winners to share information about their programs, and for wellness experts to lead breakout sessions about starting wellness programs, the importance of evaluation, how to
